JILL UPDATE!!!

The get-away car was running when we sprang Jill, the red nose pit, from Animal Control in Harlem a week and a half ago. We wisked her away to a much needed holiday in the Pocono Mountains. She has been a delightful guest during her foster time here with us. She has put on some much needed weight, basked in the sun on the deck, and been entertained by the creatures who visit our yard daily. That is when she isn't romping around and having the time of her life playing freely and being lavished with love. We are so very pleased to report that Jill, now fondly known as Jilly Bean, is off to be trained on Friday and then, to a caring adoptive home. May our Jill and her new parents enjoy a long and wonderful life together. She's a doll.

Hey,

I am one of the people taking Jill home on the 26th and it was great to hear how well she is doing. Thanks for taking such great care of her!

Dear D and Family
Thank you so much for welcoming Jill into your home. Despite all that this beautiful animal has endured in her short life she remains sweet and loving for the least of kindnesses. We fell in love with her and will miss her. Trust me she will be loyally devoted to you and you'll adore your new baby.

hey sweeties! what good work you're doing! Someone was rescued, someone is safe , someone is cared for....does it mater what container the someone abides in? Be it dog , cat human child?
Someone was rescued , is safe , is cared for. What can be more important?
Hung out with our mutual friendsa few days ago. Did a tour of magazine street. Had a blast .
Aris told me of a " performance artist" somewher in central america ( i think)...His " performance " consisted of tying up a dog and leaving it .. the audience got to watch the dog starve to death. No one stopped him , no one freed the dog.I cannot put into words what the picture of this in my head does to my soul. I hesitate to post it. Please forgive me for passing this mental picture along. But when i look at Jill before and after ...
All i can say is this... there is nothing more valuable then a kind word , a soft voice ... a caress to someone beatin is priceless.I f there is a loving god , id like to think some of us are making points.
We'd do good work anyway, its how , its who we are. But it helps me to think that someone bigger might be watching , that someday we get rescued , and get treated kindly and feel safe again. LOve you guys . Knowing you love me makes all the difference.
